All group flights to and from the conference destination of Penang travel via Kuala Lumpur – the capital of Malaysia, making it the perfect stop over destination on the way to or from the 2010 Pharmacy Guild Offshore Conference.

While Malaysia has embraced modern technology, boasting two of the world's tallest skyscrapers and a super multimedia corridor. The country still has some of the world's most remote jungles, one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant old ports and an atmospheric, colonial hill station. While Kuala Lumpur bristles with ambitious new building projects, you can still find exotic markets and plenty of local colours, sights and sounds.

kuala lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is the centre and symbol of Malaysia and its rapid rise as an economic powerhouse. The rocket like Petronas Twin Towers soar above a city built to impress, from the modern buildings of the Golden Triangle to massive shopping malls and driverless trains that glide across the bustling city. Nestled amid the high-rises you'll find remnants of the city's past, enchanting temples and mosques, small whitewashed colonial churches and British Tudor-style clubhouses. At night, markets and lantern-lit streets ring with the sound of Malay, Chinese and Indian hawkers selling tantalising dishes. Though it's running hard toward the future, Kuala Lumpur still offers a glimpse of its colourful heritage and a taste of traditional, exotic Asia. Two Pre and Post Conference Kuala Lumpur stopovers itineraries have been developed for participants and families looking to add to their 2010 Pharmacy Guild of Australia Offshore Conference experience.

By offering these two itineraries before and after the main conference, you are able to select the option that best matches your interests or choose one option for before the conference and another for afterwards. The Pre and Post Conference itineraries differ slightly on Day 1 and Day 4 due to arrival and departure times.
